Cherry Blossoms - Stained Wood Painting

Brighten up your day with this beautiful cherry blossom stained wood painting. This unique floral artwork is painted with layers of transparent stains on natural burned wood, allowing the subtle patterns of the wood grain to show through with an effect almost like stained glass! This one of a kind painting would make a wonderful accent piece for your home or a unique and thoughtful gift!

This original artwork is hand painted on a plank of solid pine wood, accentuating the natural grain pattern of the wood as a featured detail to the flowers. Each piece of wood is individually selected for its unique pattern and then cut, sanded, and burned with a torch to highlight the grain. The design is then sketched onto the wood and transparent washes of paint are applied and allowed to soak in before being wiped away to reveal the stained wood.  The artwork is finished of with solid black paint to highlight the design and add contrast!

This artwork measures approximately 9 x 12 inches and comes ready to hang. The colour wraps around the sides of the wood and the painting is beveled and highlighted at the edges. No need for a frame, simply hang it from a hook or nail on your wall! Check out all of our unique wood paintings here!
